The Eseeola Lodge and Linville Golf Club open May 15th. Don't wait to call for reservations. Weekends and golf package dates sell out quickly. Also awaiting guests is the new Alan T. Dickson Activity Center.
Linville Club members, hotel guests and staff alike are looking forward to the new Alan T. Dickson Activity Center. Located on the hill across from the Lodge, the new complex boasts over 15,000 square feet for fun and relaxation.
The Activity Center consists of four buildings, grouped around a central grass play area and swimming pool. The largest building houses the new spa and fitness facility. The spa features five treatment rooms and an area for manicure and pedicures. Spa directors George and Mitzi Bunton promise a new lineup of spa services, sure to be in keeping with the fabulous new facility. Sharing the building with the spa is the new fitness area, complete with an aerobics classroom.
To the left of the spa, the original pavilion has been remodeled and open-air seating added under a covered patio. Not up for a sit-down lunch? Then consider a quick lunch to go at the new snack bar. Chef Patrick Maisonhaute will make sure you find something delicious wherever you choose.
The new Activity Center is certain to be loved by adults, but it may be the children who find it the most fun. Adjacent to the patio is the teen pavilion where older kids can hang out with friends, play video games or just find a cool spot to rest away from the sun.
Opposite the dining area and teen pavilion is the children’s area. Here the little ones can enjoy the zero-wading pool and mushroom fountain within the safety of a fenced courtyard. Also, conveniently located off the courtyard is the new home for the summer children’s program. Kids will love the indoor playroom for games, crafts or an occasional movie. Plus, the children’s area offers safe and easy access to the volleyball court and playground equipment. Loads of sun and fun await!
Speaking of sun, there will be plenty of it around the new twenty-five-yard saltwater pool. The porcelain-lined pool will appeal not only to folks seeking exercise, but also to those who simply want to relax. Best of all, the pool’s sun shelf will make it possible for sunbathers to catch some rays and cool their heels as the same time.
